about

2010 found me heavily involved with a worldwide music sharing and improvisation network (ImprovFriday), as well as a gradual instrumental shift towards small analog synth performance coupled with Propellerheads’ Reason virtual synthesis environment. Much of the work here consists of solo improvisations based on “riding” one, two or three synths much like one rides a bull; to try and stay on top of the patches, letting their own tendencies guide my actions , and the music that results. This collection could be considered a “sketchbook” of sorts, or perhaps a kind of panorama of the year’s explorations.
