darfur pogrommen (2007)

a piece for open instrumentation in one movement, this work takes its title as a reference to the ongoing genocide in darfur and other past pogroms. the composition, however, is not intended to be programmatic. there are many potential instrumental combinations that would be optimal for a realization of this work. - david toub, 2007
