On each of my albums I'm a wildly eclectic musician, swerving stylistically across the spectrum. I tend to group tracks chronologically, just as they come out of my head. But I thought for once I might gather up some tracks that are more explicitly pop and dance oriented, just to give someone an easier entry into my work. Though "easier" is a relative term; I use the conventions of pop and dance, can't help but subvert them to some degree. After all, the real pop and dance musicians are already making perfectly good stuff that rides right down the rail, so why do that when I can de-rail the machine a little? So dance or sing, in this alternate world that could be. :-)
